The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics & Electrical Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimisation of electronic systems within atmospheric water generation (AWG) machines.

This is a hands-on R&D and product development role spanning the full lifecycle — from circuit and PCB design through embedded firmware, integration, testing, and production — with the chance to build smart, IoT-enabled control systems for breakthrough water technology.

Key Responsibilities

Electronics Design & Development

• Design and develop electronic circuits and control systems for AWG machines
• Select and integrate sensors, controllers, actuators, and communication modules
• Develop and optimise PCB designs and electronic assemblies

Embedded Systems & Programming

• Develop, test, and maintain firmware for microcontrollers and embedded systems
• Program and integrate electronic boards (Arduino, STM, PLCs, or similar)
• Implement system control logic and automation

System Integration

• Work closely with mechanical and thermodynamics teams
• Integrate electronics with compressors, sensors, and HVAC systems

Product Development & Innovation

• Participate in the full product lifecycle: concept, prototype, testing, and production
• Develop smart control and IoT-enabled features

Testing, Debugging & Validation

• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of electronic systems
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and firmware issues

Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare technical documentation and schematics
• Support certification and compliance requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
• 5–8 years of experience in electronics and embedded systems
• Strong experience with microprocessors and microcontrollers
• Background in HVAC/AC or industrial systems preferred

Key Skills

• Strong analog and digital electronics knowledge
• Embedded programming in C/C++
• Hands-on experience with microcontrollers (STM32, Arduino, PIC)
• Knowledge of communication protocols (UART, CAN, Modbus)

Preferred Experience

• HVAC systems or industrial product development
• IoT or smart device development

What Success Looks Like

• Developing reliable, production-grade electronics systems for AWG machines
• Delivering scalable embedded solutions
• Driving innovation in water-generation technology

This role is not a fit if

Your experience is primarily in MEP, building services, or site/field installation; maintenance, MRO, or technical training; test-rig and ATE development rather than product design; or simulation/CFD without hardware ownership. We are looking for an engineer who has personally taken circuits from schematic to fabricated PCB to shipped product.
