Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Planning Engineer to join our growing team in Abu Dhabi, UAE, supporting ongoing infrastructure and construction projects. The successful candidate will work closely with Senior Planning Engineers and project teams to develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules using Primavera P6. This role offers valuable professional development through hands-on experience with scheduling, resource planning, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Critical Path Method (CPM), project monitoring, and reporting, providing an excellent pathway for long-term career growth in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Collaborate with Senior Planning Engineers and project teams to prepare and update project plans.
• Develop and maintain the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
• Allocate project resources efficiently using Primavera P6 while considering project constraints and resource availability.
• Develop resource histograms and generate S-Curves using Primavera P6.
• Conduct Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis to identify critical activities and scheduling risks.
• Establish project baselines in Primavera P6 for measuring planned versus actual progress.
• Monitor project performance by comparing actual progress against approved baselines.
• Prepare weekly and monthly planning reports, progress updates, and project dashboards.
• Coordinate with site engineers and project teams to collect accurate progress data.
• Support project planning activities to ensure schedule accuracy and timely project delivery.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.

Experience

• Junior-level planning experience or relevant academic/project exposure in construction planning is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Basic knowledge of Primavera P6.
• Understanding of project planning and scheduling concepts.
• Knowledge of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
• Familiarity with Critical Path Method (CPM).
• Understanding of resource planning and construction methodologies.
• Experience with project monitoring techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.

Soft Skills

• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.

Additional Job Requirements
