Senior Procurement Engineer - Electrical

Minimum Qualifications

BE/ Btech Electrical Engineering

Minimum Experience: 4 years or above post qualification experience in a structured progressive Corporate environment.

Job-Specific Skills

• Ability to execute procure multiple product types within specified time fame

Knowledge of F&G Packages, Lighting fixtures, Electrical materials and other related materials.

Generic Skills

• Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and negotiation skills.
• Attention to detail and documentation.
• Exposure to MS Office packages – Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge in ERP software purchase module.

3. JOB PURPOSE

Handling purchasing of F&G packages, Cables, Light fixtures, and other related materials for the Company in compliance with mandate requirements; supporting to a range of Purchase requests from Projects as assigned by the Procurement Manager. Negotiating terms and conditions with vendors and/or service providers; managing vendors/vendor assessments, and achieving department objectives and goals within budget.

5. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execution of all purchase duties as assigned
• Develop procurement process for Electrical, F&G packages, F&G materials, equipment, and services in line with project requirements

§ Responsible to gather offer, coordinate and finalize the offer for F&G packages, cables, light fixtures and other related equipments.

• Responsible to Source, negotiate and propose the selection of vendor for the best purchase package evaluating quality, price, commercial terms, deliveries and services with the suppliers/ Service provides.
• Managing Purchase order issuance
• Handling and monitoring of claims to vendors for defective, shortage, missing parts and NCR.
• Coordinate with user departments and suppliers in the purchasing scope of work for projects assigned.
• Support relevant departments with quotations for the purpose of tenders.
• Check all possibilities of finding new suppliers/ service providers.
• Support the department in evaluating Supplier performance.
• Comply with purchase dept. specific procedures and QHSE policies and procedures as applicable
• Other assignments as and when instructed by the Senior Management.

Supporting responsibilities

• Material handling until delivery for all materials (local and oversees) to the desired location.
• Responsible to gather all required technical and commercial documents from Vendors as required.
• Expediting suppliers and internal teams (viz. Project, Finance, clearance team,…) to ensure materials are received as per the material required date and the project schedule.
• Reviewing commercial and shipping documents prior to necessary required actions
• Coordinating with Logistics providers and internal teams to ensure materials are delivered within required time frame.
• Support in evaluating the performance of logistics providers.

6. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Internal: Project Engineers, Cost Controller, Customs/Logistics dept., Projects managers, Other department and Divisional Staff as per the requirement.

External: Suppliers / Sub Contractors / Service Providers / Logistics Providers
