ABOUT THE ROLE

Durrani Group is building a governance-driven enterprise operating system across hospitality, holiday homes, real estate, facilities management, and multi-entity operations.

We are seeking a highly competent and hands-on Senior Accountant with strong accounting fundamentals, reconciliation expertise, and financial reporting capabilities. The ideal candidate must be capable of maintaining accounting integrity, preparing accurate financial statements, and ensuring operational accounting discipline across multiple entities.

This is a technical accounting and controls-focused role, not a title-based management position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Core Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Maintain accurate General Ledger (GL) structure and Trial Balance integrity
• Prepare monthly financial reports including:
• Profit & Loss Statement
• Balance Sheet
• Cash Flow Statement
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities
• Record and review:
• accruals
• prepayments
• depreciation
• provisions
• journal entries
• Ensure proper account classification and ledger mapping
• Maintain accounting schedules and audit-ready documentation

B. Reconciliations (Critical Function)

Perform and maintain accurate reconciliation of

• Bank accounts
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Accounts Payable (AP)
• Intercompany balances
• Credit cards and payment gateways
• OTA channels (Airbnb, Booking.com, etc.)
• Vendor statements
• Security deposits and landlord balances

The candidate must be able to independently identify and resolve:

• discrepancies
• duplicate entries
• missing postings
• unmatched balances
• timing differences

C. ERP & Accounting Structure

• Support ERP financial discipline and accounting data integrity
• Maintain and organize the Chart of Accounts (COA)
• Ensure accurate cost center and department allocation
• Validate accounting flow and financial mapping
• Support accounting migration and cleanup activities
• Maintain proper document traceability and evidence support

D. Compliance & Governance

• Assist with VAT preparation and filing support
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting regulations and company SOPs
• Support external audits and internal reviews
• Maintain proper accounting documentation and approval support
• Ensure governance and financial control standards are followed

E. Management Support

Provide support to management through

• variance analysis and explanations
• expense analysis
• reconciliation summaries
• cash position reporting

Proactively identify accounting risks, irregularities, and discrepancies.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Technical Requirements

• Strong understanding of:
• Trial Balance
• Double-entry accounting
• P&L and Balance Sheet flow
• Reconciliation procedures
• Month-end closing
• Strong knowledge of:
• accrual accounting
• revenue recognition
• expense matching principles
• VAT regulations
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems:
• Odoo preferred
• QuickBooks / Zoho / SAP / Oracle accepted

Experience

• Minimum 5–8 years of accounting experience
• UAE experience preferred
• Hospitality, Holiday Homes, or Real Estate experience is an advantage
• Experience handling high-volume transactions and reconciliations preferred

• dashboard/reporting experience
• title-based management experience

without strong accounting fundamentals will not be considered suitable for this role.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
