Project Engineer – Steel Structures (PEB & Hot-Rolled)

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly proactive Project Engineer (Steel Structures) specializing in Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) and Hot-Rolled structural steel. This role requires a strong balance of technical expertise, site management, and client-facing communication.

The ideal candidate will manage projects from fabrication through to site erection, handling daily site coordination and representing the company confidently in technical meetings with clients and consultants. Key Responsibilities

Site Management & Coordination: Act as the primary technical point of contact on-site. Seamlessly coordinate workflows between the fabrication workshop, logistics, main contractors, and sub-contractors to ensure smooth, uninterrupted erection schedules.

Client & Consultant Technical Meetings: Lead and participate in technical progress meetings with clients, main contractors, and consultants. Confidently address, discuss, and resolve technical queries, design discrepancies, variations, and engineering adjustments regarding PEB/hot-rolled structures.

Site & Fabrication Supervision: Oversee day-to-day site operations for heavy hot-rolled steel frame erection and PEB assembly (including built-up frames, secondary cold-formed members, and cladding systems).

Drawing Review & Technical Alignment: Review structural shop drawings, connection layouts (bolted/welded), and anchoring plans. Ensure any design modifications discussed with the client are accurately translated on-site.

Erection & Resource Planning: Coordinate safe steel erection sequences, crane positioning, rigging plans, and lifting operations. Manage labor allocation and sub-contractor progress to meet project milestones.

QA/QC & Authority Approvals: Enforce strict quality standards for structural alignment, welding inspection, and torqueing. Clear site inspections with consultants and local UAE municipality inspectors.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of solid UAE experience directly managing the fabrication, site coordination, and erection of both PEB systems and Hot-Rolled structural steel

Communication Skills:Strong technical vocabulary and communication skills. Must be confident in handling technical pushback and negotiation during client/consultant meetings.

Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of steel grades, connection details, welding procedures (WPS), and cladding installation.

License: Must possess a valid UAE Driving License (essential for moving between sites, workshops, and client offices). Availability: Immediate joiners preferred (candidates on a cancelled visa, visit visa, or short notice period). Compensation & Benefits Salary: (Depending on experience and technical capability).
