We are currently looking for an Experienced Production Planning and Estimation Engineer Specialized in Metal Work Fabrication for our factory in Ajman having a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in same field & Must have Degree in Engineering.

The Planning & Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, production planning, material requirements, and project schedules for metal fabrication projects. The role ensures efficient utilization of resources, timely project execution, and cost control from tender stage through project completion.

Duties, Responsibilities & Skills Relating to Planning & Estimation Engineering:

• Review customer drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from fabrication drawings.
• Prepare detailed BOQ (Bill of Quantities)
• Raw Material Cost (SS, Aluminum, MS, GI, etc.)
• Estimate costs for raw materials, fabrication, machining, welding, finishing, painting, galvanizing, transportation, and installation.
• Labor Cost
• Preparing & Submitting Quotations
• Add profit margin and risk factors.
• Attend technical meetings if required.
• Raise RFIs (Request for Information) if drawings are unclear
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare commercial and technical proposals.
• Analyze project requirements and identify potential risks.
• Maintain and update cost databases and estimation records.
• Proficiency in Excel systems
• Preparing Hand Sketch Drawings
• Good negotiation skills
• Support management during tender negotiations and project handovers.
• Develop production schedules based on project priorities and delivery dates
• Plan fabrication activities including cutting, bending, machining, welding, assembly, surface treatment, and dispatch.
• Coordinate with production supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
• Monitor shop-floor progress and update production schedules.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to maintain deadlines.
• Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and workshop resources.
• Coordinate with procurement for timely purchase of raw materials and consumables.
• Monitor material availability against production requirements.
• Track inventory levels and recommend stock replenishment when required.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Assist management in implementing recovery plans when schedules are affected.
• Coordinate with Sales, Design, Procurement, Production, Quality Control, and Site Teams.

Pay: From AED4,000.00 per month
