About the Planning Engineer Jobs

The successful candidate is to support the Project Managers/Resident Engineer on all scheduling and budget preparation through effective collaboration and coordination with various disciplines to obtain relevant information:

Prepare and update the project time schedule based on information received from disciplines involved in the project

Monitor man hours and project progress based on the actual percentage of weekly work progress that is received from Departments. Investigate reasons for the delay and liaise between Senior Project Engineer and the Project Manager

Prepare the proposed work program for projects at the proposal stage

Prepare Project Close Report and maintain all project history documents (contract review records, work program, design verification records, correspondences, minutes of meetings, progress reports, budget status, etc.) for future reference

Attend progress meetings and present project progress reports to the Client

Proficiency in analyzing EOTs using time impact analysis and window analysis

Preparing Baseline Program as per Clause 14 /8.3 of Contract

Developing detailed yet simple-to-understand schedules and graphs

Analyzing actual work done against the approved baseline and highlighting Delays that Occurred, to the Project Manager

Prepare Target programs and recovery programs, monitor the programs, and inform the actual status Project Manager

Assist in delay impact analysis and EOT evaluation

Follow up on issues impacting the projects schedule

Take primary responsibility for Project planning & scheduling

Prepare & update the Project Schedule.

Monitor Project progress.

Prepare daily/weekly/monthly Project reports

Prepare of overall Project breakdown schedule.

Prepare monthly/bi-monthly Projects to look ahead of schedule.

Coordinate closely with Clients and Vendors while updating Project planning.

Prepare Resource Histograms.

Prepare Cash flow charts and S curves.

Create a PowerPoint presentation related to Project.

Judicious planning of time and resources (men & machinery)

Coordinate with internal departments for planning & reporting purposes.

Monitor procurement progress as per the procurement schedule

Periodically update the management on Project progress

Execute any other tasks that may be directed by superior

Requirements

Min 10+ years of experience in a similar role.

Min Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field

Conversant with the complete Project lifecycle.

Capable to establish Planning & Cost Control team.

Good knowledge of Projects, preferably on-site experience.

Excellent planning & problem-solving skills

Knowledge of procurement and construction logistics

Thorough knowledge of Primavera essential

Well-versed in PPT + MS Office software

Good command of verbal & written English

Good interpersonal skills

A UAE driving license is a must
