Store Manager (MEP Experienced)

Job Summary

The MEP Store Manager is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, issuance, and inventory control of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) materials, tools, and equipment. The role ensures accurate stock records, proper material handling, and timely availability of materials to support project execution and maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify MEP materials against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Store materials properly with correct labeling, segregation, and safety measures.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, stock registers, GRNs, issue slips, and material movement logs.
• Issue materials to site engineers, supervisors, and technicians based on approved requisitions.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment of materials.
• Conduct periodic stock counts and inventory audits to identify discrepancies.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
• Coordinate material transfers, returns, and stock adjustments.
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety of the store area.
• Maintain records using ERP systems, inventory software, or MS Excel.
• Prevent material loss, damage, or misuse through proper control procedures.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of MEP materials including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, cables, conduits, pipes, fittings, valves, and consumables.
• Inventory management and stock control skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory/ERP software.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and material handling practices.
• Ready to work in site and all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree.
• 2–5 years of experience as a Storekeeper or Store Manager in MEP, construction, or facility management projects.
• Experience with inventory management systems is preferred
