System Administrator (IBM Power, AIX & Linux)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced System Administrator to design, deploy and manage large‑scale IBM POWER server environments running AIX and Linux. The role involves end‑to‑end ownership of operating system lifecycle, performance tuning, storage integration and high‑availability solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, install and maintain IBM POWER servers, Power
• VM, HMC, VIOS and LPAR configurations.
• Perform complex OS migrations, service pack upgrades, kernel patches and dual‑VIOS redundancy.
• Conduct advanced performance tuning (CPU, memory, I/O, kernel parameters) and filesystem/LVM optimization.
• Implement OS hardening, RBAC, sudo policies and system auditing.
• Manage enterprise storage (IBM, Net
• App, EMC) including SAN zoning, LUN masking, replication, snapshots and capacity planning.
• Configure HA and disaster‑recovery solutions such as Power
• HA and GPFS.Automate routine tasks with ksh, bash and Python scripts.
• Monitor systems using LPAR2RRD/STOR2RRD and support VMware ESXi hosts.
• Required profile
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.8‑10 years of hands‑on experience with IBM POWER, AIX, Red Hat/Ubuntu Linux.
• Relevant certifications (AIX, Red Hat, IBM Flash Storage, Brocade SAN).
