Role Description

The Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based at Buffalo Wings & Rings in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role includes managing day-to-day accounting activities such as recording financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, reconciling bank and cash accounts, and preparing periodic financial reports.

The Accountant will monitor accounts payable and receivable, process invoices, track expenses, and support payroll and inventory-related accounting. This role also involves ensuring compliance with local financial regulations and internal policies, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and supporting audits and month-end and year-end closing processes.

The Accountant will collaborate with operations and management to provide accurate financial data that supports effective decision-making.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of core accounting principles, general ledger management, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, including use of spreadsheets and basic data analysis tools.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash management.
• Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and inventory-related accounting in a retail or hospitality environment.
• Ability to maintain accurate records, meet deadlines, and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Familiarity with local UAE financial regulations, tax requirements, and audit processes is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with operations and management teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is a plus.
• Prior experience as an accountant or in a similar finance role, preferably within the food & beverage or hospitality sector.
