Sr. Architect (Heritage and Urban Planning)

Key Responsibilities

Develop and review architectural designs, drawings, specifications, and technical documents for heritage and urban development projects.

Ensure architectural designs are aligned with the project’s vision, master plan, urban design principles, and heritage conservation requirements.

Review consultant and contractor submissions, including shop drawings, material submittals, mock-ups, and method statements.

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including Urban Planning, Landscape, Structural, MEP, BIM, and Infrastructure disciplines.

Conduct site inspections to monitor construction quality, design compliance, and adherence to approved drawings and specifications.

Support restoration, rehabilitation, adaptive reuse, and conservation of heritage buildings and culturally significant assets.

Ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC), MOMRA regulations, accessibility standards, and applicable heritage authority requirements.

Participate in value engineering, constructability reviews, and design optimization while preserving heritage character.

Assist in resolving technical issues during design and construction phases.

Review material selections, architectural finishes, façade treatments, and conservation methodologies.

Prepare technical reports, design review comments, inspection reports, and progress updates.

Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and government authorities throughout project delivery.

Support BIM coordination and multidisciplinary design integration.
