Job Purpose

• The role of the Manager is to contribute to the successful completion of Internal Audit Department plan
• This role is designed to conduct efficient risk-based audits to evaluate the effectiveness of management’s risk and control framework with particular focus on IT, Cybersecurity, Data Management, Business Continuity Management and Digital Business audits
• Assist the Senior Manager in developing and delivering internal audit plan which adds value to business while ensuring activities conducted are in compliance with regulations, internal policies and procedures and IIA standards
• Supervising the work of internal Audit team members, involved in multiple audits, projects and ad-hoc assignments

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

• Development and implementation of an internal risk-based audit annual plan for related area
• Planning and undertaking assigned audits to assess controls, operational and technical efficiencies and compliance with related policies, procedures and regulations
• Driving operational improvements in the areas of assigned audits to improve overall efficiency and internal controls
• Develop assigned audit engagement scope and audit programs, complete field-work, discuss identified issues with audit clients, and prepare audit reports reflecting the results of the work performed
• Follow-up the implementation of the recommendations

Key Activities

• Ensure the audit documentation reflect appropriate business understanding, audit strategy, and evidence to support findings and recommendations
• Communicate audit progress and findings by providing information in status meetings, highlighting unresolved issues and reviewing working papers
• Complete audit work papers and memoranda by documenting audit tests and findings
• Present the report to Senior Manager and discuss the identified issues along with recommendations
• Promotes the highest standards of ethics and standards across ALJUF, based on the principles of integrity, objectivity, competence and confidentiality
• Recommend and implement adoption of new professional standards, codes of practice, legislative issues, new audit regulations/trends, and audit methodology
• Remains updated with job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree and preferably a Master’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or a related field

Work Experience

• Minimum 6 years of work experience in IT, Cybersecurity and business support audit or related role

Professional Qualification

• At least holding one of the following certifications: CIA, CISA, CISSP, CISM, and ISO Lead Auditor.
