Position: Electrical Engineer

Location: Qatar

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Oil & Gas project team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design review, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance support of electrical systems for EPIC and major Oil & Gas projects.

The role requires close coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in compliance with client specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate electrical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documents.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
• Monitor construction progress and resolve technical issues related to electrical systems.
• Witness factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and commissioning activities.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with HSE regulations and quality standards.
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and client representatives on technical matters.
• Prepare technical reports, inspection records, and project documentation.
• Support project handover and close-out activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proven experience in electrical systems, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Experience working on EPIC or major Oil & Gas projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, power distribution systems, motors, transformers, switchgear, and protection systems.
• Familiarity with international standards such as IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and applicable client specifications.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
