We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, dynamic and creative Deputy Head of Secondary School who would like the opportunity to work in a progressive and student-centred Secondary school.

The Deputy Head of Secondary will support the Head of Secondary in the strategic leadership and daily management of the Secondary School's Academic and Pastoral matters, ensuring high standards in teaching, learning, student achievement, and staff performance.

The role includes leading and supporting staff, overseeing curriculum delivery, managing professional development and extra-curricular activities, promoting effective parental engagement, and contributing to school improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will model best practice, foster a positive school culture, and play a key role in driving academic excellence and successful school inspections.

Job specification:-

Successful candidates will hold

• Bachelor Degree in Education from a recognized University (From the UK preferred) or similar, or the international equivalent.
• Minimum of Three years as a Deputy Head or other Senior Leadership position in Secondary school at a International School(s) or in the UK and 5 additional years’ experience as Secondary Teacher or Head of Subject.
• Teaching License from one of the following Countries: (UK, US, CA, AU, NZ, ZA and Scandinavian countries)
• NPQH and or similar certification preferred but not necessary

Areas of experience required:-

• Experience teaching the National Curriculum for England in the UK or an international setting
• A thorough knowledge and experience of working with British Curriculum as well as familiarity with all other key aspects of UK education
• Respect for Islamic religion, Arabic and Qatari traditions, all members of school community, irrespective of position, gender, age and ethnic background

Paperwork Requirements

Notarized and Attested academic degrees, teaching certificates, transcripts, marriage and dependent birth certificates. You will be advised of school requirements.

The selected applicant will be required to provide criminal records check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) before employment is confirmed. Candidates from outside the authority of the DBS will be required to provide an approved Certificate from the similar authority in the Country in which he/she is currently residing.
