Senior Risk Consultant

Job Summary

The Senior Risk Consultant is responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing business risks while providing strategic advice and risk mitigation solutions to clients or internal stakeholders. This role leads risk assessments, develops risk management frameworks, evaluates controls, and supports organizations in improving operational resilience, compliance, and decision-making.

The Senior Risk Consultant works closely with leadership teams to address complex risk challenges and enhance overall risk governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise risk assessments and identify potential financial, operational, strategic, compliance, and technology risks.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies, frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct risk reviews, control assessments, and gap analyses to evaluate the effectiveness of existing processes.
• Provide recommendations and practical solutions to mitigate identified risks.
• Support clients or business units in strengthening internal controls and governance practices.
• Prepare risk reports, dashboards, presentations, and executive-level recommendations.
• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and risk controls.
• Conduct regulatory and compliance assessments to ensure adherence to applicable standards and requirements.
• Lead risk workshops, interviews, and stakeholder discussions to gather insights and assess risk exposure.
• Support internal audit, compliance, business continuity, and crisis management initiatives.
• Monitor emerging risks, industry trends, and regulatory developments.
• Manage risk consulting projects, including planning, execution, resource coordination, and delivery.
• Mentor junior consultants and provide guidance on risk assessment methodologies and best practices.
• Build strong relationships with clients, executives, and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in risk consulting, enterprise risk management, internal audit, compliance, governance, or related areas.
• Proven experience conducting risk assessments, control evaluations, and developing risk mitigation strategies.
• Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, such as COSO ERM, ISO 31000, or similar standards.
• Experience working with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and compliance frameworks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level reporting and presentations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and risk management tools.
• Professional certifications are an advantage, such as Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Project Management Professional (PMP).
• Pay: RO2,600.000 per month
