Exciting opportunity for a L3 Big Data Administrator role with a leading global organization (BFSI Domain)

Role Scope

Provide Level 3 operational support for enterprise Big Data platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and reliability. Collaborate with architects, developers, and project teams to support production systems, drive service improvements, and ensure production readiness of new solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L3 support for Hadoop, Kafka, Apache NiFi, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, and AWS EMR platforms.
• Manage cluster lifecycle, system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve critical production incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Ensure platform security, access governance, high availability, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Develop automation, maintain documentation, and implement operational best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of Big Data Platform Engineering or Administration experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Hadoop (HDFS, YARN, Spark, Hive, HBase), Kafka, Apache NiFi, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, AWS EMR, Linux, and Shell/Python scripting.
• Experience with production support, performance tuning, incident management, and cluster administration.
• Knowledge of Kerberos, security, access governance, and high-availability environments.
• Banking, financial services, or payment systems experience is highly preferred.
