Role Overview

The Wealth Manager is responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of clients, providing financial advisory services across protection, investments, cash flow and retirement planning.

This is a self-employed career with performance-based remuneration. A two-year transition package is available to selected experienced hires and promising fresh graduates, subject to terms and conditions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development and Client Acquisition

• Develop new client acquisition channels and business opportunities
• Build professional relationships with prospective clients
• Manage prospecting activities and sales pipeline
• Participate in business development initiatives and campaigns
• Develop strategic partnerships and referral networks

2. Financial Advisory

• Conduct comprehensive fact-finding and financial needs analysis
• Develop financial plans based on clients’ objectives and circumstances
• Advise on protection, investment, cash-flow and retirement needs
• Assess clients’ financial position, risk profile and investment objectives
• Prepare and process applications and supporting documentation
• Ensure accuracy and compliance throughout the advisory process

3. Client Relationship Management

• Develop and maintain long-term client relationships
• Conduct regular portfolio and financial plan reviews
• Manage ongoing servicing, claims and client enquiries
• Identify changing financial needs and appropriate planning opportunities
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and client service

4. Professional and Business Management

• Complete required regulatory and professional training
• Maintain appropriate records and documentation
• Monitor business activity and performance metrics
• Conduct market and industry research
• Participate in team meetings, training and agency activities

Consultants may develop along one or more of three career tracks based on performance, strengths and interests:

1. Advisory and Production

• Build and manage a high-quality client portfolio
• Develop advanced financial planning and advisory capabilities
• Progress towards recognised professional and production benchmarks

2. Business Development and Growth

• Develop new markets, partnerships and client acquisition channels
• Drive business development initiatives
• Contribute to recruitment and broader team growth

3. Leadership and Team Development

• Recruit and develop new consultants
• Coach and manage team performance
• Develop leadership and supervisory capabilities
• Progress towards formal management responsibilities

Selected consultants demonstrating leadership potential may be invited to participate in the Management Associate Mentorship under an Associate Director.

Candidate Profile

Experience in sales, business development, entrepreneurship, consulting or client-facing roles is advantageous but not required.

Minimum Requirements

• Singaporean / Permanent Resident
• 21 years old and above
• GCE ‘A’ Levels, Diploma, Degree or equivalent
• No prior financial advisory experience required
