Position Summary

As a Senior Software Developer, you will be a driving force in designing and building innovative solutions that directly impact our global customer base.

You will take ownership of developing and maintaining scalable, secure microservices, containerized with Docker and deployed across hybrid environments (both cloud and on-premise). This role demands a deep expertise in .NET development, a strong command of microservices architecture, and the technical leadership to guide systems from concept to production.

Someone who actively integrates AI tools into their day-to-day workflow to multiply engineering efficiency, accelerate prototyping, and maintain high standards of code verification.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect Hybrid Solutions: Contribute to the architectural design of both cloud-native systems and on-premise systems and ensure seamless integration with Embed’s on-premise "Toolkit" solutions.
• System Integration & Security: Design and develop secure, robust integration layers to connect disparate internal and external systems, maintaining strict security data standards.
• End-to-End Ownership: Take high-level ownership of the system lifecycle—from translating business requirements into technical design, through development, to live online operations.
• Continuous Improvement: Actively drive technical excellence by identifying areas for modernization, optimizing existing technologies, and refining team engineering methodologies.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with cross-functional teams across the organization, communicating technical concepts effectively to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
• Leverage AI for Efficiency: Actively utilize agentic AI coding tools to accelerate prototyping, automate boilerplate implementation, generate living documentation, and optimize development cycles

Required Skills and Experience

• Backend Expertise: 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong emphasis on .NET Core / .NET 6+ (C#).
• Architecture & Patterns: Deep understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and enterprise design patterns.
• Microservices & DevOps: Strong understanding of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker), including an appreciation of their operational benefits and complexities.
• Database Proficiency: Hands-on experience with SQL databases, specifically PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
• API Design: Proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining scalable RESTful APIs and web services.
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Experience deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms (AWS preferred) alongside an understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) concepts.
• Quality & CI/CD: Proficient in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and modern CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• AI Proficiency & Integration: Deep familiarity with modern agentic AI development tools (such as Kiro, Claude Code, or Github Copilot), with a proven track record of incorporating them into your daily engineering workflow to accelerate delivery.
• AI Steering & Validation: Strong ability to write effective technical specifications to guide AI agents, combined with the senior-level judgment required to critically review, debug, and validate AI-generated code for security and performance. Experience with Identity and Access Management tools (e.g., Keycloak) is a plus.
• Experience with orchestration and workflow automation platforms (e.g., Kestra) is a plus
• Experience with secrets management and service networking tools (e.g., HashiCorp Vault, HashiCorp Consul) is a plus
