FREELANCE ACCOUNT DIRECTOR / SENIOR ACCOUNT DIRECTOR

BLKJ Havas is looking for a Freelance Account Director / Senior Account Director to partner with our teams on key client accounts and integrated campaigns. This role sits at the core of the agency, helping to shape work that lives in culture while driving strategic thinking, flawless delivery, and strong client relationships.

Ideal candidates will bring extensive agency experience, senior client management capabilities, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver bold, effective, and commercially impactful work. You will seamlessly integrate into project teams, providing strategic guidance and hands-on account leadership across multiple initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

Client Partnership & Business Leadership

Act as the senior day-to-day lead for assigned clients and projects.
Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and provide strategic counsel on marketing, communications, and brand challenges.
Translate business objectives into clear strategic opportunities and creative direction.
Lead client presentations, workshops, and key stakeholder discussions with confidence.
Identify opportunities to expand project scope and unlock additional value through integrated solutions.

Creative & Integrated Delivery

Champion culturally relevant, strategically sound, and creatively impactful work.
Lead the delivery of integrated campaigns across ATL, BTL, digital, social, content, influencer, experiential, and partnership channels.
Ensure projects are delivered on brief, on time, on budget, and to the highest standard.
Coordinate effectively across internal teams, specialist partners, production vendors, and external agencies.
Challenge teams to think beyond the obvious, delivering work that earns attention and drives measurable results.

Leadership, Standards & Impact

Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to account teams and project stakeholders.
Foster collaboration and accountability across multidisciplinary teams.
Maintain high standards of thinking, execution, and client servicing.
Support agency leadership in managing project profitability, resource allocation, and operational efficiency.
Contribute to work that is culturally impactful, commercially successful, and award-worthy.

Requirements

8+ years of experience in creative communications / integrated agency environments, with proven leadership at Account Director level or above.
Strong command of brand strategy, creative development, and integrated campaign delivery.
Proven ability to lead senior client engagements, presentations, and workshops with confidence.
Deep understanding of modern marketing ecosystems, including digital, social, content, and emerging platforms.
Curiosity for what’s next — culture, technology, data, and AI — with the instinct to challenge and evolve.
Experience across regional / Asian markets is a strong advantage.
