The Veterinary In-House Laboratory Technician supports clinical and diagnostic services by performing routine laboratory tests and maintaining daily laboratory operations within a veterinary setting. The role ensures accurate results, compliance with safety standards, and efficient lab workflow for the specialist hospital.
•Perform routine laboratory tests (e.g. haematology, biochemistry, microbiology sample processing) in accordance with laboratory SOPs.
•Prepare, process, and record laboratory samples and results accurately.
•Manage day-to-day laboratory operations, including equipment calibration, quality control, and general laboratory upkeep.
•Maintain laboratory inventory and assist with procurement of reagents and consumables.
•Ensure compliance with safety procedures, regulations, and quality standards.
•Support quality assurance activities.
•Manage the in-house blood refrigerator and component freezer, maintaining stock of these products.
•Work collaboratively with veterinarians and clinical staff to support diagnostic needs.
