Infrastructure Project Manager – Data Centre Migration | Hong Kong

We are looking for an Infrastructure Project Manager to support a data centre build and migration programme across APAC. The role will coordinate project planning, migration activities, vendor follow-up, telco/circuit coordination, cabling schedules, documentation and stakeholder updates.

This position is suitable for candidates with hands-on experience supporting IT infrastructure projects, data centre migration, network upgrade, equipment relocation, telco coordination or co-location data centre activities.

Location: Hong Kong

Employment Type: Contract

Duration: 6 months initial contract, with potential extension

Salary: Up to HKD 50,000 per month

Start Period: August/ September 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Support planning and coordination of data centre build, migration and network upgrade activities.
• Maintain project timeline, Gantt chart, action tracker, RAID log and project documentation.
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams, vendors, telco providers and regional stakeholders.
• Track equipment movement, circuit activation, cabling schedules and migration dependencies.
• Follow up on risks, blockers, open actions and project deliverables.
• Prepare weekly project status updates for stakeholders.
• Support scheduling of implementation activities across different teams and time zones.
• Act as the on-ground project contact for infrastructure-related activities in Hong Kong.
• Ensure project activities are properly documented and completed according to agreed timeline.

Requirements

• Around 5 years of IT infrastructure project management or technical project coordination experience.
• Experience in data centre migration, infrastructure relocation, network upgrade or related infrastructure projects.
• Good understanding of data centre infrastructure, including network, servers, structured cabling and telco circuits.
• Experience coordinating with vendors, service providers and technical teams.
• Able to manage project trackers, timelines, dependencies, risks and documentation.
• Good communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Comfortable working with regional teams across different time zones.
• Strong follow-up discipline, ownership and attention to detail.

Good to Have

• Experience in banking, financial services, trading, telco or enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Familiarity with co-location data centre environments such as Equinix.
• PMP, PRINCE2 or similar project management certification.
• Experience with MS Project, Smartsheet or similar project tracking tools.
