Key Responsibilities

You will provide essential support to the Sous Chef, ensuring daily operations run smoothly and standards are met. Your daily responsibilities include:

• Supervise kitchen operations and mentor junior staff to ensure consistent food preparation and plating.
• Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering, and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO).
• Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen.
• Assist in the creation and testing of menu specials and seasonal dishes.
• Step in to manage the kitchen team effectively during service shifts.
• Collaborate with the front-of-house team to resolve operational issues swiftly.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen with some supervisory responsibilities.
• A strong desire to grow into a senior culinary management role.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and train junior kitchen team members.
• Solid understanding of food safety regulations and cost control.
