Sales Manager – Hong Kong

Following strategic regional expansion across Asia Pacific, our client is seeking a dynamic, commercially agile Sales Manager based in Hong Kong. Reporting directly to the Regional Director – Asia Pacific, you will manage an established revenue engine while spearheading the expansion into high-margin value-added products, fresh salmon streams, and the broader Greater Bay Area.

• High-Growth Regional Mandate: Managing a strong base portfolio of USD 5M to 6M annually in Hong Kong, this role is positioned at the center of an exciting pivot toward high-value retail channels, processed product lines, and strategic expansion into South China (Guangdong/Fujian/Hainan).
• Cross-Border Footprint: Operating in close alignment with our Shanghai office and regional processing hubs, this role connects global origin supply directly with the region’s highest per-capita consumer markets.

Strategic Objectives

• Portfolio Diversification & Value Creation: Drive the evolution from traditional commodity/frozen importer distribution toward direct-to-retail partnerships, premium fresh salmon categories, and value-added product streams.
• Account Optimization & Importer Relations: Nurture and scale core relationships with major import partners and processing hubs supplying Tier-1 supermarkets and food service channels.
• Greater Bay Area Scale: Leverage market proximity to expand coverage into key South China regional markets (Guangdong, Fujian, Hainan), driving incremental market share.
• Executive Proximity: Partner directly with APAC regional leadership and work in tight coordination with Mainland China operational teams to ensure seamless supply chain and sales execution.

Who You Are

• Agile Commercial Driver: You bring a few years of successful sales track record—ideally within FMCG, food service, seafood, or cross-border trade. (Note: Commercial agility, educational background, and long-term potential are valued above rigid industry experience).
• Local Market Native: You are a Hong Kong local or Guangdong native with strong Cantonese fluency and excellent English communication skills (Mandarin is a strong advantage).
• Retail & Trade Mindset: You possess strong relationship-building instincts, structured negotiation skills, and the curiosity to navigate both major trade importers and retail end-customers.
