Investment Analyst | Boutique Multi-Asset Investment Platform

Selby Jennings has partnered with a boutique multi-asset investment manager in seeking a junior Analyst to join their investment team in Hong Kong.

This is a unique opportunity to work directly alongside experienced investors, conducting investment research, evaluating opportunities across private markets, and contributing to portfolio construction and manager selection decisions.

Unlike traditional financial services roles, this position offers hands-on exposure to how institutional-style portfolios are built and managed, with direct visibility into investment decision-making from day one.

Role Description

• Research and evaluate investment opportunities, with an initial focus on PE / buyout strategies, before expanding into broader asset-classes
• Conduct investment due diligence and manager research
• Support portfolio monitoring and performance analysis
• Work alongside senior investors on capital allocation decisions
• Gain exposure to broader asset classes over time as responsibilities expand
• Leverage technology and AI tools to improve research, analysis, and investment workflows

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience from consulting backgrounds or financial services environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated interest in investing and financial markets
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to challenge the status quo
• Self-starter who enjoys taking ownership and working in a lean team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Interest in applying AI and technology to improve productivity and decision-making
