Role Mission

Role Summary
The Control & Instrument Engineer will support the delivery of instrumentation engineering for major power station and E&M projects, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant design, installation, testing, and commissioning of critical control systems. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with multidisciplinary teams, vendors, and site personnel across the full project lifecycle.
Role Mission

- You will ensure that instrumentation designs, materials, installations, and commissioning activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review instrumentation engineering deliverables, including datasheets, specifications, loop diagrams, and hook-up drawings.
- Select and size field instruments, control valves, and analyzers based on process requirements.
- Ensure assigned instrumentation deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and in line with project scope.
- Ensure compliance with international standards such as IEC, ISA, API, and relevant client specifications.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOP studies, SIL assessments, and other safety-related reviews.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including process, piping, mechanical, and electrical disciplines, to ensure seamless system integration.
- Support procurement activities through technical specifications, datasheets, and vendor evaluations.
- Liaise with vendors for technical clarification, procurement support, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
- Prepare material requisitions and assist in cost estimation and budgeting.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor installation progress and ensure alignment with design intent.
- Provide technical support to construction teams and resolve site-related issues.
- Support commissioning teams with technical input and troubleshooting.
- Assist in commissioning activities to ensure instrumentation systems are properly installed, calibrated, tested, and operating as designed.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in instrumentation engineering within the oil & gas EPCC sector; fresh graduates with strong potential are also welcome.
- Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD and MS Office.
- Strong knowledge of field instrumentation, control valves, analyzers, and control systems such as DCS, PLC, and SCADA.
- Familiar with hazardous area classification and instrumentation for explosive environments.
- Knowledge of international codes and standards, including ISA, IEC, API, and ASME, where applicable.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
