With a growing international footprint, the company specializes in next-generation vehicle technologies, including BEV, FCEV, and intelligent mobility solutions.
Due to continued business growth and team expansion, they are seeking a Technical Service Engineering Lead - Automotive (EV) to join their Hong Kong operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair activities for commercial vehicles, including buses, coaches, minibuses, and trucks.
- Support a wide range of vehicle powertrain technologies, including electric, hybrid, diesel, range-extender, and hydrogen fuel cell systems.
- Conduct fault analysis and hands-on troubleshooting of vehicle electronic systems.
- Lead and coordinate frontline technical staff on daily work assignments, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Investigate complex vehicle issues, perform root-cause analysis, and maintain accurate engineering records and technical reports.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and after-sales teams to resolve technical challenges and support customer requirements.
- Provide technical feasibility assessments and engineering recommendations for customer customization projects.
- Support vehicle commissioning, testing, and deployment activities for international projects.
- Deliver on-site technical support for SKD assembly programs and fleet operations across global markets.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, technical training, and the implementation of emerging transportation technologies.
Job Requirements
- Diploma, Higher Diploma, or Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Around 5-8 years of relevant experience in technical engineering, field service, automotive diagnostics, or related engineering functions, past solid experience in vehicles maintenance.
- Experience with commercial vehicles, public transportation fleets, trucks, coaches, or new energy vehicles is highly desired.
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting and fault diagnosis capabilities across mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems.
- Familiarity with EV technologies, battery systems, hydrogen fuel cell technologies, or intelligent vehicle systems is a strong advantage.
- Previous experience supervising technicians or coordinating frontline engineering activities will be highly valued.
- Good command of English and Chinese is required.
- Self-motivated, organized, safety-conscious, and able to work independently.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
