Job Duties
- Take overall charge of landscape supervision & technical coordination for communal gardens, podium greenery, walkways, water features, boundary walls, external amenities, tree preservation and MiC modular facade-landscape interface details.
- Liaise with landscape consultant, architectural/structural/BS teams, tree specialist and sub-contractors to resolve drawing clashes & sequence conflicts between landscape works and MiC base frame, external finishes, drainage & planter media.
- Accompany technical team on regular overseas MiC factory visits; inspect prefabricated facade landscape components, external planter trays and waterproof upstand design; witness factory watertightness tests for external precast elements.
- Vet fully coordinated landscape drawings, planting plans, hardscape shop drawings & MiC facade landscape component fabrication drawings; maintain full tracking log for submission, consultant comments and drawing revisions.
- Establish approval workflow for landscape materials, stonework, timber, water feature & planting mock-ups; supervise on-site full-size mock-up acceptance and cross-check prefabricated landscape component samples manufactured at MiC plant.
- Prepare landscape method statements, tree protection plans, seasonal planting programmes and off-site MiC external component supervision schedules; compile monthly landscape progress reports, snag lists and factory inspection records.
- Chair landscape interface coordination meetings, MiC external joint technical meetings and landscape sub-contractor coordination meetings; document all action items and follow up until full closure.
- Arrange inspection for concealed landscape works on site and factory: external waterproofing, drainage layers, growing medium and precast facade greening units; witness relevant watertightness & load-bearing tests.
- Handle landscape design variations, tree relocation adjustments and MiC facade component amendments; update coordinated drawing packages, sub-contractor construction guides and factory fabrication drawings accordingly.
- Oversee compilation of as-built landscape drawings, landscape section of O&M manuals and MiC external component factory completion certificates for filing; liaise with LandsD, Tree Management Office and landscape consultant for all landscape technical enquiries.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from recognised Hong Kong university, full corporate member of HKILA.
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in landscape supervision & coordination on large-scale Hong Kong government / public housing complex projects; experience on MiC modular external interface coordination is highly preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Hong Kong Tree Preservation Ordinance, external waterproof standards, barrier-free outdoor facility codes and Annex XXXI MiC factory supervision provisions.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit & Lumion; capable of producing landscape coordination drawings, 3D visuals and drafting bilingual technical reports & factory audit documents independently.
- Fluent Cantonese, competent professional written & spoken English to conduct standalone technical meetings with overseas MiC factory teams on landscape joint details.
- Holder of Construction Green Safety Card; available for overtime, night inspection of external works and regular overseas MiC factory trips for landscape component audit
