We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Hong Kong. As a fast-growing player in the cross-border payments and FinTech industry, we operate in a high-volume, multi-currency environment. This role is essential for ensuring the accuracy of daily financial operations, conducting complex payment reconciliations, and supporting the broader accounting functions.

The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, a solid grasp of local regulations, and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with our regional teams.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and general ledger postings
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and settlement reconciliations across multiple currencies and payment gateways
• Process staff expense claims, corporate payments, and vendor invoices accurately and timely
• Assist the senior finance team with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing processes
• Collaborate closely with internal operations and business teams (including offices in Mainland China) to investigate and resolve settlement or data discrepancies
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records, ensuring strict compliance with company policies and statutory requirements
• Support external audits, tax filings, and ad-hoc financial reporting tasks as required

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• 0–2 years of relevant accounting experience (Fresh graduates with strong internship experience will be considered)
• Solid understanding of Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards (HKFRS) and Hong Kong tax regulations
• Proficiency in Mandarin is required (essential for daily communication with Mainland China teams and regional stakeholders), alongside fluent English
• Solid MS Excel skills (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) with the ability to manage and analyze large volumes of transactional data
• Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and capable of meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced FinTech environment
• A proactive team player with a strong sense of responsibility and eagerness to learn
• Knowledge or basic understanding of accounting standards and tax regulations in Mainland China (PRC GAAP) and/or Singapore is a strong plus
• Previous internship or work experience in cross-border payments, FinTech, e-commerce, or financial services
• Familiarity with ERP or accounting software (e.g., Kingdee, Oracle, SAP, or NetSuite)
• Student member of HKICPA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional accounting bodies
