Instrumentation and Control System Field Service Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities

• Calibration of pressure, temperature and flow instrumentation on industrial boilers.
• Boiler safety limit testing and calibration.
• Boiler combustion testing and combustion tune ups.
• Troubleshooting of industrial boiler control system problems.
• Repair/replacement of instrumentation to correct system problems.
• Control system commissioning and startup for new installations and retrofits.
• Operator training for newly commissioned systems

Qualifications

• Technical skills include prior field service experience with strong hands on electrical and instrumentation capability
• Working knowledge of boilers, burners and controls.
• Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and ladder logic diagrams.
• Familiarity with PLC’s, loop controllers and Fireye flame safety systems
• Intermediate or better expertise working with HART handheld communicators, multimeters and calibration equipment.
• PLC Programming experience is not required but is highly desirable.
