Senior Civil Engineer/PM - Albany

Location: Albany

A well-established, employee-owned consulting firm is growing its Land Development team and looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to take on both technical delivery and client facing responsibility. The group delivers site development engineering for consulting clients - site and grading design, stormwater management, water/wastewater, and roadway and parking design.

Responsibilities

• Development of detailed site and grading plans, and erosion and sediment control plans
• Stormwater management design, water and wastewater design, roadway and parking design, and construction detailing and specifications
• Preparation of inventory assessments, analysis, and reports
• Development of professional services proposals
• Management of projects and clients
• Development of technical approaches to projects, and participation in public presentations and speaking engagements

Day to day, this looks like

• Producing site, grading, and erosion/sediment control plans
• Carrying out stormwater, water/wastewater, roadway and parking design and construction detailing
• Preparing assessments, analysis, and technical reports
• Drafting professional services proposals and technical approaches
• Managing live projects and client relationships
• Representing the firm in public presentations and speaking engagements

Experience required

10+ years' experience with demonstrated success in a professional consulting environment, specifically in land development / site development.

Skills required

• Technical writing, with solid verbal and written communication
• Ability to interact effectively with clients, project teams, and colleagues
• Solid CAD design skills; experience with Civil 3D a plus

Certifications / Education

• B.S. in Civil Engineering
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) — required
