Senior Architectural Designer – Ground-Up Residential (8+ Years) | New York, NY | Location: Brooklyn, New York | Schedule: Full-time, hybrid - 3 days in studio (Mon, Tue, Thu)

If you want your residential work to start at the ground and go up, not just fit-outs, this is worth a conversation. I'm partnering with a celebrated Brooklyn-based design studio known for distinctive, design-forward work spanning ground-up residential and high-end interior architecture, to find a Senior Architectural Designer who can take projects from concept sketch through construction documents.

This is a boutique studio environment: small enough that your drawings, renders and ideas shape the project directly, with the kind of creative range, architecture and interiors under one roof, that larger firms can't offer. And with just three studio days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday), it's one of the more genuinely flexible setups in the NYC market right now.

What you'll be doing

• Leading architectural drafting and documentation across ground-up residential projects, from schematic design through CDs
• Producing 3D models and renderings to develop and communicate design intent
• Developing presentation and graphic materials to support client and team reviews
• Working across both architecture and high-end interior architecture scopes
• Collaborating closely in a tight-knit studio team where senior designers have real ownership

What you'll bring

• Minimum 8 years' experience in ground-up residential architecture (essential- additional experience welcomed)
• High-end interior architecture experience a strong plus
• Bachelor of Architecture degree at minimum
• Excellent AutoCAD drafting skills and strong 3D rendering ability (SketchUp, 3ds Max or similar)
• Proficiency across Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator); Bluebeam and Rhino exposure a plus
• Solid construction documentation experience
• Comfort working across both PC and Mac a plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Based in or around the NY Metro Area and able to work in the studio Mon/Tue/Thu
