The Role

The Laboratory Operation s group at SonoThera is seeking to hire a Senior Laboratory Technician to become an integral part of the gene therapy drug development effort. This role requires adaptability and an ability to perform at a high level in a fast-paced environment. A qualified candidate will have broad experience in biology laboratory operations . This is an on-site position, Monday through Friday.

What You Will Do

• As a Senior Laboratory Technician, you will contribute to the smooth operation of the laboratory by handling and managing daily tasks.
• This includes supporting all laboratory activities, maintaining equipment to minimize downtime, and ensuring a consistent supply of materials.
• Your work will be essential to meeting company timelines and goals.
• You will : Prepare and sterilize laboratory reagents Restock, organize, and order regular laboratory consumables and supplies Shipping/Receiving of biological samples Update laboratory equipment and chemical inventories as needed Provide assistance and prepare laboratory for EH&S and IACUC inspections

What You Will Bring

High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred Minimum of 5 years industry experience. Biotechnology start-ups desired Ability to work independently and as a team member. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong record-keeping and organizational skills.

Ability to stand and walk for significant times throughout the day Ability to lift 40 lbs MS Office (Word, Excel) – Intermediate user proficiency Experience using ERP Experience handling medical & chemical waste Experience making standard lab media & solutions

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $ 89 ,250 . 00 to $ 105 , 000 . 00 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on various factors , including, without limitation, individual education, experience, tenure, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data, including potential adjustments for geographic location.
