Position Summary

In this role, you will offer technical leadership and guidance to teams responsible for IT Operations and Projects focusing on infrastructure for Common/Critical Facilities. The ideal candidate should be capable of swiftly providing design suggestions, technical scope, and documentation. They will also develop essential technology roadmaps and maintain reliability portfolios.

The role includes building partnerships with internal infrastructure teams, external IT teams, and business clients to support the development, enhancement, implementation, and maintenance of IT Infrastructure and related services.

Though the focus is on IT Common/Critical Facilities, a general understanding of products and services linked to key platforms is necessary, along with knowledge of the complete process for IT service delivery.

This is a hybrid role, requiring work from both a remote office and an assigned work location for approximately 2 - 3 days a week, or as needed based on business requirements. The assigned location will be negotiated between the successful candidate and the hiring manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Craft and present innovative solutions using subject-matter expertise based on requirements.
• Ensure design solutions align with technical and logical design requirements.
• Successfully implement complex, large-scale, cross-functional new/enhanced systems within scope, on time, and within budget.
• Develop system design models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to guide system programmers and development teams.
• Maintain and develop technical standards, design patterns, reference architectures, and roadmaps for key services.
• Oversee aspects of the architecture and design of technology solutions supporting business requirements.
• Offer consulting and guidance during the design, build, test, and deployment phases of IT projects.

Qualifications

Minimum

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Five years of experience in IT engineering design OR IT project implementation.

Desired

• Five years of experience with IT/Substation Design for Core and Edge Infrastructure, AC/DC Power Systems, Remote Terminal Units, Building facilities.
• Skilled in identifying complex issues, reasoning logically, drawing conclusions, and taking suitable actions.
• Able to organize workload to meet time frames; work off hours for operations and meet project deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities in fast-paced settings.
• Ability to collaborate with peers, clients, system users, and other technical colleagues.
• Capability to drive change and accountability.
• Strong customer service focus to handle requests and problems professionally.
• Experience in developing solution blueprints and designs for yearly project portfolios.
• Collaborate with product vendors to ensure support and service based on contracts.
• M.S./M.B.A. or equivalent experience in computer science, business administration, engineering, or related discipline focused on information technology.
• Experience in the Utility industry telecommunications and business.
• Skilled in conceptualizing creative solutions and presenting them to senior management.
• Knowledge of line of business/industry support (Gas, Electric, Energy Supply, etc.)
• Ability to estimate the financial impact of IT decisions.
• Provide financial guidance and risk assessments.

Compensation

The full salary/pay range is available for this position. Actual pay will depend on several factors including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and other relevant factors. The final decision on pay will be determined case-by-case related to these factors.

This position is eligible for the company’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

• Midpoint: $158,000.00
• Maximum: $194,000.00
