Environmental Engineer Manager level position
The Environmental Engineering Manager will play a two-fold role within the firm: overall strategic direction and management and day to day performance of environmental consulting/engineering related duties which include:
Strong technical management oversight.
Client service delivery and business development.
Profit/loss management.
Personnel management.
Soil/groundwater sampling.
Phase I and II ESAs, remedial investigations and/or feasibility studies.
Asbestos and lead based paint testing, analysis and interpretation.
Report writing.
Project management.
Developing and penetrating market segments.
Geological related services (if applicable).
Strong Phase I and II ESA experience.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Soil/groundwater sampling.
Strong writing techniques.
Asbestos and lead based paint projects.
Knowledge of local technical requirements for site remediation.
Experience with state agencies. City of Chicago and GSA experience is a plus.
Bachelor’s Degree Science, Environmental, Geology, Chemical or Civil Engineering (with Environmental focus).
3-5+ years of experience in Environmental Consulting.
2+ years supervisory experience.
PE or PG certification/licensure preferred.
Effective communication skills.
Commitment to accuracy and detail.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong computer skills.
Ability to work well in a fast paced environment while adhering to client timeframe expectations.
