As an Assistant Project Manager, you will support the PMA project team and collaborate with clients and project teams through a successful process of strategic real estate planning, design, and construction of new buildings, tenant improvement buildouts, and facilities assignments. Some of the ways you will support our projects:

Responsibilities

• assist with the development and completion of project-specific tasks as required to meet or exceed the expectations of the client and fulfill contractual obligations
• support the planning and analysis of conceptual design issues and pre-construction
• coordinate and review the development of architectural and engineering construction drawings and bid documents
• effectively review, understand, and enforce contractual requirements for design and construction professionals and assist project management staff in generating contracts and addenda.
• understand the building permit process and support the design and construction professionals in securing the permit
• effectively meet with contractors, architects, engineers, and consultants to review the project status and resolve issues
• responsibly maintain and follow up on project open item lists
• direct and/or document project meetings
• review and analyze potential changes to the budget
• monitor the construction budget and schedule, including updating and maintaining a web-based project
• actively observe and report on the construction process and construction-related issues (field reports, job walks, etc.)
• manage the project process to a successful close-out

Requirements

• You have 2+ years of development and project management experience, ideally in an Owner’s Representative environment
• You have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Urban Planning, Real Estate Finance, or a related field
• You are a motivated self-starter with a positive attitude
• You operate with a high level of personal integrity and business ethics, thriving in a collaborative team environment
• You demonstrate flexible thinking and would consider yourself coachable and able to accept constructive feedback on tasks, interactions, and activities needed to complete your work.
• You have a polished presence and excellent verbal and written communication skills
• You have strong interpersonal skills (i.e., high emotional intelligence)
• You exercise enthusiasm and curiosity both about your work and within the larger real estate and construction field, committed to seeking creative solutions and new ideas to solve problems.
• You practice diligence and discipline to refine options into the optimal result
