Who We Are

At Junior Chefs Kitchen, we empower children with essential cooking skills and healthy eating habits through hands-on classes, camps, and events. Our Summer Camp Counselors play a key role in leading young chefs through engaging, educational, and fun-filled cooking activities!

Please note this position is for our Lincoln Park & West Loop Studio locations PLUS this can transition to a part-time position in the Fall for after-school programs. So having a car is a HUGE plus!

What You’ll Do

• Lead campers (ages 4-12) in hands-on cooking lessons, making two + recipes daily.
• Facilitate traditional camp fun like games, crafts, and food-themed activities.
• Assist with kitchen prep, food safety, and cleanup to keep camp running smoothly.
• Ensure a safe and inclusive environment where every child feels supported.
• Work as part of a dynamic team, supporting lead instructors and fellow counselors.

What We’re Looking For

✔️ Experience working with children (camp, classroom, or childcare setting).

✔️ A passion for food & cooking—no professional chef experience required!

✔️ Ability to lead activities, engage kids, and manage group dynamics.

✔️ Strong communication & teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment.

✔️ Availability from June 8 – September 4, Monday-Friday shifts.

Camp Schedule & Pay

$19/hr starting pay, with bonus potential.

Shifts: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (most staff), with one rotating late shift (8:30 AM – 5:30 PM). Monday - Friday; at least 3 days required.
