Senior UI/UX Designer

Boundary is a branding and digital design studio based in sunny El Segundo, CA. We work with enterprise and startup clients, offering a range of services that include brand identity and strategy consulting, digital product design, UX/UI, web and mobile app development.

Our current clients include Red Bull, The NoMad Hotel, MUD\WTR, GEM, Point.app, Swoop, Honeybee Health and numerous Y Combinator startups.

We're looking for a detail-oriented designer who obsesses over UX/UI, can manage a team of creatives, and impress clients.

What you’ll be doing on the daily

• Concept and design digital products and experiences across a range of client categories (including brand positioning, user journey mapping, and prototyping)
• Work directly with clients to design and plan features and functionality of new products
• Help coordinate design sprints with project managers
• Review designs from team members and provide constructive feedback
• Present your work to clients and explain to them why it’s so amazing
• Collaborate with internal and external developers to ensure the team’s designs translate effectively into code

The skills you’ll need to pay the bills

• 3+ years of digital design experience in a creative agency or in-house
• Expert understanding of UX design principles
• Experience building modular design systems
• A joy for tackling difficult problems
• Confidence articulating and pitching your ideas
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once and accurately set and meet deadlines
• Comfort working autonomously, leading a project from start to finish, as well as working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Invision, Photoshop, and Illustrator

Earn bonus points if you

• Have experience designing for medical interfaces (web-based and embedded)
• Can jam with motion graphics tools like After Effects and Principle
