Senior DevOps Engineer - AWS 💰 Salary: $140,000 - 170,000 per year

📝 Rquirements

• 5+ years of commercial experience in AWS cloud infrastructure and DevOps
• Practical experience with Amazon RDS (PostgreSQL & MySQL) in production settings: deployment, performance optimization, backups, upgrades, and security measures
• Strong foundation in essential AWS services: API Gateway, Lambda, ECS Fargate, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFront, WAF, ElastiCache
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK preferred; Terraform/CloudFormation acceptable with adaptability)
• Skilled in managing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, or Jenkins)
• Solid understanding of IAM, VPC networking, and AWS security best practices
• Experience with observability tools: CloudWatch, X-Ray, logging systems, and alert configurations
• Proficient with scripting languages (Python, Bash)
• Strong communication and documentation abilities; capable of working autonomously in a small, dynamic team
• Nice to have: Experience in deploying and scaling a headless CMS (Strapi, Contentful, Sanity, etc.)
• Familiarity with streaming video architectures
• Knowledge of analytics pipelines (Kinesis, Athena, QuickSight)
• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps, DevOps Engineer)

👩‍💻👨‍💻 Your responsibilities are

• Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure components: API Gateway, Lambda, ECS Fargate, Amazon RDS (PostgreSQL & MySQL/Aurora), DynamoDB, ElastiCache, S3, CloudFront, WAF, and Kinesis
• Implement Infrastructure as Code utilizing AWS CDK (preferred) or Terraform
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or AWS CodePipeline
• Configure IAM roles, policies, and enforce least-privilege access for security compliance
• Monitor security solutions including CloudTrail, GuardDuty, and Security Hub
• Enforce tagging, cost management, and regulatory compliance across our environments
• Set up CloudWatch metrics, dashboards, and alerts for observability
• Implement distributed tracing with AWS X-Ray and log analytics solutions (OpenSearch or similar)
• Create synthetic canaries to test key user flows (login, playback, API health)
• Develop backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
• Construct data ingestion pipelines (e.g., Kinesis Firehose S3 Athena)
• Create product dashboards using QuickSight or similar tools
• Expand infrastructure with AWS Media Services (MediaLive, MediaPackage, MediaConvert, MediaTailor) for live and VOD streaming
• Facilitate secure global delivery of video content via CloudFront and associated services
