Are you ready to own one of the most consequential financial deliverables at Amazon — the enterprise free cash flow forecast that goes directly to the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Executive Officer, and Board of Directors? We're looking for a strategic finance leader who thrives at the intersection of financial analysis, executive storytelling, and technical innovation.
In this role, you'll not only lead the forecasting cycles that synthesize inputs from across all of Amazon, but you'll also drive the multi-year transformation to fully automate these capabilities — building scalable platforms that eliminate manual processes and deliver insights at unprecedented speed and accuracy.
This is a rare opportunity to combine deep financial expertise with technical product ownership. You'll partner with Treasury, Tax, Accounting, and M&A to create a unified view of Amazon's cash generation, craft compelling narratives for our most senior leaders, and architect the future state of our forecasting infrastructure alongside our technology teams.
If you're energized by high-visibility challenges, cross-functional collaboration, and the chance to leave a lasting mark on how Amazon forecasts and manages cash, this role is for you.
Key job responsibilities
A typical day involves a mix of deep financial analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and technical partnership. You might start the morning reviewing variance drivers in the latest free cash flow forecast with your team, then jump into a working session with Treasury and Tax to align on cash and tax forecast inputs.
Midday could involve refining a narrative for an upcoming Board deliverable or partnering with Treasury on modeling the cash flow impact of a potential transaction. In the afternoon, you might lead a sprint review with the technology team to assess progress on automating a key reporting workflow, followed by a one-on-one with a direct report to discuss their development.
Corporate Finance Planning and Analysis provides strategic support to Amazon's Chief Financial Officer and executive team on enterprise-wide planning, analysis, and reporting.
Our team is responsible for the production and administration of several key finance deliverables, including month-end and quarter-end processes, quarterly estimates, the annual operating plan, the three-year forecast, and free cash flow and capital expenditure narratives shared with business finance teams, functional teams, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Executive Officer, and the Board of Directors to drive strategic operational and funding decisions.
We are a team that values intellectual curiosity, ownership, and a proactive approach to solving problems — and we're in the middle of an exciting transformation to automate and scale our reporting capabilities. You'll join a group that thrives on collaboration, champions innovation, and is committed to building an inclusive environment where every team member can contribute and grow.
