City Planner

The City Planner performs professional planning, zoning, and development review work in support of the City’s growth management and long-range planning objectives.

Under the direction of the City Manager or designee, this position administers and enforces zoning, subdivision, and land development regulations while assisting residents, developers, consultants, and elected and appointed officials with planning-related matters.

The Planner is responsible for reviewing development applications, preparing staff reports and presentations, coordinating development review processes, conducting research and site inspections, and supporting implementation of the City’s Comprehensive Plan and development policies.

The position requires independent judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-growing municipal environment.
