Sr. Principal Enterprise Architect

Overview

Technology is critical to nearly every business outcome at Chick-fil-A. The Sr. Principal Enterprise Technology Architect is responsible for understanding Chick-fil-A's current state technology capability landscape, identifying future state opportunities, and then influencing and consulting with leaders to make the future state a reality.

They must exhibit mastery over the current and emerging technology landscapes, from systems architecture and design to software engineering to analytics tools and beyond. They must be able to build trust and confidence to influence day-to-day practitioners and guide Chick-fil-A in the direction that enables us to reach business objectives while also balancing speed and long-term health of our technology portfolio.

This role requires breadth and depth of experience with technology but also the ability to think, make decisions, and communicate on business terms to audiences across CFA.

Responsibilities

• Develop actionable, execution-ready strategies for the delivery of foundational technology capabilities such as Cloud Computing, Enterprise Restaurant Compute, Identity Management, Digital Twins, Data Lake/Exchange, or Generative AI.
• Lead efforts to "Understand, Imagine, and Prototype" new emerging technology capabilities according to CFA's innovation process.
• Validate innovation efforts from across the business to ensure they fit CFA's strategy.
• Develop enterprise technology solutions for the most critical cross-departmental business challenges, such as strategic bets.
• Influence internal technology leaders (SELC), technical product owners, and software engineers to adopt the enabling technologies that maintain a cohesive technology strategy for Chick-fil-A.
• Develop, communicate, and govern enterprise standards for technology adoption and implementation.
• Build external alliances with industry experts for benchmarking and partnering
• Mentor and develop others to act as a force-multiplier within the Digital Transformation and Technology department

Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)

• Experience in Architecture and software delivery
• Leadership experience
• Deep technical experience on modern technologies such as Cloud (AWS, Google, Azure), Computer Vision, Edge Computing, Kubernetes, Analytics Technologies (Databricks, etc.).
• Proficiency with enterprise software design patterns and supporting technologies.
• Background in designing, implementing, and delivering enterprise software at a large scale
• Ability to rapidly learn and understand new and emerging technologies and/or approaches to delivering technology in an enterprise.
• Strong communication skills that enable building alignment across a vast audience from low-level software engineers to departmental leaders, and everything in between.
• Desire to act as a force-multiplier for the organization through mentoring and empowering others to help them be successful
• Ability to lead others through influence
• Able to identify industry trends and identify opportunities that are good investments for CFA.
