A&E Professional Liability Claims Adjuster

JCW is representing a growing specialty P&C carrier in search of an A&E (Architects & Engineers) Professional Liability Claims Adjuster to join its fully remote claims team. This role will focus on handling professional liability claims involving architects, engineers, and other design professionals from initial notice through resolution.

It is an excellent opportunity for a claims professional with experience in Professional Liability or Errors & Omissions who is looking to further develop their expertise within the A&E space.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of Architects & Engineers Professional Liability claims from investigation through final resolution.
• Review policy language, evaluate coverage, and assess liability related to design errors, construction defect allegations, and other professional negligence claims.
• Establish, monitor, and adjust claim reserves in accordance with company guidelines.
• Prepare reservation of rights letters, coverage determinations, and other claim-related correspondence.
• Partner with defense counsel, brokers, insureds, and internal stakeholders to develop effective claim and litigation strategies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Professional Liability experience required with A&E experience strongly preferred
• Previous experience with Architects & Engineers claims is preferred; candidates with broader Design Professional Liability experience are encouraged to apply.
• Strong understanding of coverage analysis, claim investigation, reserving practices, and construction-related professional liability exposures.
