Director of Marketing and Communications

The Association for Home & Hospice Care of North Carolina (AHHC of NC) is seeking a Director of Marketing & Communications. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the premiere state home care & hospice associations in the country.

AHHC is a non-profit trade association based in Raleigh, NC whose members are organizations that provide home care, home health, hospice & palliative care services. AHHC’s mission is to provide resources, education, advocacy, and leadership to those organizations, and to constantly evolve to meet the ever-changing needs of the healthcare at home industry in our state.

AHHC manages the South Carolina Home Care & Hospice Association, and this individual will be applying all job functions and roles to both associations.

AHHC is looking for an energetic, customer service-oriented, tech savvy individual to lead and assist the association with a multitude of projects and priorities including but not limited to:

• Market and help plan statewide conferences, workshops and webinars
• Design conference brochures, education flyers, newsletters and other marketing collateral
• Host and monitor virtual educational webinars and meetings
• Develop and market membership recruitment campaigns
• Assist Business Partners with advertising needs and sponsorship benefits
• Develop and maintain website content
• Apply best practices from social, digital media, and marketing communications to create highly engaging and impactful communication campaigns
• Lead social media campaigns on X, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram
• Develop Press Releases and work with the media as needed
• Serve as staff liaison to AHHC's Public Relations Committee and spearhead the annual awards process.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be familiar with Social Media platforms, website editing, virtual conferencing platforms such as Zoom, various design software such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Canva. WordPress, Cvent and iMIS knowledge is a plus. This person must be a fast learner with the ability to adapt to new technology and platforms. Must be able to demonstrate self-sufficiency with projects and remote work.

Excellent time management, communication, organization, and coordination skills are a must.

• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, or business administration
• 3+ years of marketing and communications experience, preferably in health care or for an association
• Demonstrate attention to detail and aptitude for quickly grasping technical concepts
• Excellent writing and design skills required. Must be prepared to submit 3 samples of writing /design, such as a marketing campaign, press release, or newsletters.
• Positive attitude and a good work ethic with a strong orientation toward customer service and follow-through
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize among competing projects and priorities
• Some regional travel required
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
