Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of biomedical equipment including, but not limited to, patient monitors, defibrillators, infusion pumps, and ventilators.
Conduct thorough inspections and testing of equipment to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or coordinate with external vendors for more complex issues.
Utilize technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic equipment to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed, including documentation of any changes or updates made to equipment.
Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to prioritize and schedule equipment maintenance and repairs.
Participate in equipment acquisition and installation processes, including testing and calibration.
Stay current with advancements in medical technology and industry standards through ongoing training and development opportunities.
Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure that equipment is in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills when communicating with staff, patients, and external vendors.
Maintain inventory of necessary equipment parts and supplies.
Assist with the development and implementation of equipment maintenance and safety procedures.
Provide technical support and training to clinical staff on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
Work collaboratively with other members of the biomedical equipment team to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
Continuously monitor and evaluate equipment performance to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions as needed.
