A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Protection Commissioning Engineer, you work on the testing and validation of protection systems for HVDC converter stations and high‑voltage power transmission projects. Depending on the project phase, you are deployed either to the test center in Raleigh or at a customer site.
In the test center, you perform functional and dynamic testing of protection hardware and software to validate system behavior before shipment. On site, you commission and verify protection and measurement systems during installation, energization, and acceptance.
You collaborate closely with control, system, and commissioning teams to ensure safe, selective, and reliable protection performance throughout the HVDC lifecycle.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Travel, as needed (~6-9 months in Raleigh, 6-9 months in different location).

We are guiding our experts from many different engineering and commissioning disciplines through an end-to-end process taking responsibility for the outcome of each step up to final customer acceptance.
