Position Overview

At Baxter International Inc., our mission is to save and sustain lives through innovative healthcare solutions. As a DevOps Software Intern, you will play a critical role in supporting the development, deployment, and maintenance of our software applications.

You will work closely with our DevOps team to design, implement, and automate infrastructure using tools such as Azure Cloud, GitHub, Docker, and Pulumi – all while contributing to life-changing work in a global healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the DevOps team to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management using tools like Azure Cloud, GitHub, Docker, and Pulumi.
• Develop and maintain scripts, tools, and automation frameworks to improve efficiency and eliminate manual steps.
• Create and manage GitHub Actions workflows to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Utilize GitHub APIs to automate tasks such as creating and managing issues, pull requests, and releases.
• Participate in team meetings, stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure open communication and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, with candidates ideally being Rising Juniors or Seniors.
• Experience with Python, C#, and C++ is a must.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and environments including Golang, Azure Cloud, Git, GitHub, .NET, Pulumi, Nix, Docker, Buildpacks, and CI/CD.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills along with demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude with an adaptive and collaborative approach; active involvement in campus or community activities is preferred.
