Hotel General Manager

Lead the Hotel. Own the Experience.

We're looking for an experienced General Manager to lead our Courtyard by Marriott in Worthington, Ohio. This is an opportunity for a hands-on leader who takes pride in building great teams, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and driving strong business results.

Previous General Manager experience is required. Marriott brand experience is strongly preferred.

As General Manager, you will have full operational responsibility for the hotel while creating a culture of accountability, ownership, and hospitality. You'll lead by example, develop your team, and ensure every guest interaction reflects both Marriott and company standards.

What You'll DoBusiness & Financial Leadership

• Drive overall hotel profitability through sound financial management.
• Review financial performance, identify opportunities, and implement improvements.
• Develop and manage the annual business plan and operating budget.
• Prepare weekly business summaries and forecasts to proactively manage performance.
• Oversee revenue management strategies to maximize occupancy, ADR, and profitability.

Team Leadership

• Recruit, hire, train, and develop high-performing team members.
• Coach department managers to achieve operational excellence.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and create development plans.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and exceptional service.
• Lead by example and maintain high standards across every department.

Guest Experience

• Ensure consistent delivery of outstanding guest service.
• Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally.
• Maintain Marriott brand standards across all areas of the property.
• Build a service-first culture where every team member takes pride in the guest experience.

Operations

• Conduct daily property walks and inspections.
• Monitor cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and overall hotel condition.
• Oversee preventative maintenance and quality assurance programs.
• Ensure compliance with all company, brand, and safety standards.
• Maintain efficient day-to-day hotel operations.

Sales & Community

• Meet with prospective and existing clients to promote the hotel.
• Build relationships within the local community and represent the hotel professionally.
• Partner with corporate leadership to execute strategic initiatives.
• Attend brand and corporate meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hotel management experience, including experience as a General Manager.
• Marriott experience strongly preferred.
• Prior hotel opening experience is a plus.

• Quality assurance
• Preventative maintenance

• Team development and leadership
