Summary

The Ash Group is hiring a Junior Technical Analyst (24511) for our client, tech-forward financial company that provides private-label credit cards, buy-now-pay-later financing, and online savings accounts. This is a 5-month contract working in Columbus, OH (Onsite). We are offering a pay rate up to $33 per hour W2 based on skill set.

Role Details

• Compensation: $33/hr W2
• Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, and direct primary care benefits. After six months of employment, enjoy a 4% matched 401(k) plan with immediate 100% vesting.
• Duration: 5-month contract
• Hours: WORK HOURS: 2ND SHIFT; 3:00PM-11:00PM EST, TUESDAY-SATURDAY (SUNDAY AND MONDAY ARE OFF DAYS)
• Location: Columbus, OH (Onsite)

This Jr Technical Analyst will monitor and analyze IT infrastructure and applications on the second shift, providing executive-level updates and incident management to maintain system stability. The role supports a 24/7 operations center, ensuring rapid incident resolution and continuous improvement of monitoring processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor IT systems using tools like ServiceNow, Splunk, SolarWinds, Dynatrace, and Azure to detect and assess incidents
• Identify and prioritize incidents, making rapid decisions to mitigate financial and reputational impact
• Conduct initial investigations, escalating issues to appropriate teams and documenting actions in runbooks
• Create and refine runbooks, process documentation, and monitoring solutions to improve efficiency
• Communicate technical status, risks, and resolutions to stakeholders at all levels in clear, concise reports
• Maintain accurate incident records and update systems of record throughout the shift
• Support scheduled change calls and coordinate with change management to minimize disruptions
• Participate in shift handoff meetings, ensuring seamless transition of critical information

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year experience in a NOC, SOC, or similar operational environment
• Experience using ServiceNow
• Experience using Splunk
• Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Dynatrace, or other industry-wide monitoring tools
• Ability to multitask effectively with minimal supervision
• Strong executive-level communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work in high-pressure situations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
• Working understanding of ITIL processes
• Experience creating Splunk dashboards in Azure environment
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell
