Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and ensure the application of Installation and T&C processes by the ITC team within the project.
- Manage internal interfaces with project engineering and installation, as well as external technical interfaces with partners, third parties, and customers for T&C activities.
- Represent Alstom at Access meetings to ensure site access is planned and granted in accordance with the approved project schedule.
- Support the ITC Manager/PrCOM in planning ITC activities and resources.
- Elaborate and review EHS Hazard Analysis for each planned activity.
- Ensure ITC activities are executed correctly and on time according to plan, budget, and contract requirements, fully following Alstom standards.
- Author or verify ITC CDRL and coordinate development with the Pittsburgh Support Team.
- Document and update methods and statements related to the installation and T&C scope.
- Propose and supervise cut-over plans, especially during brownfield projects.
- Supervise installation contractors to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Train and support the ITC team, leading by example on site.
- Execute FMIs on-site per engineering instructions.
- Proactively develop team competency and ensure proper planning in meeting project milestones while complying with local regulations and EHS rules.
- Ensure EHS compliance with zero deviations, report and anticipate issues.
- Prepare and execute tests, perform log analysis, and compile test reports.
- Identify and troubleshoot defects to ensure timely correction.
- Review signaling system compliance in relation to system specifications and contractual requirements.
- Commit to project milestones and lead on-site execution, supporting the V&V team with lab tests as needed.
- Provide daily reports through periodic KPIs and resolve technical deviations affecting field activities.
- Record NCR, complete test sheets, and report results to system validation and punch list roll-out.
- Support Safety by providing test reports, analyzing deviations and bugs, and anticipating issues related to Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) as well as EHS.
- Report design-related issues with detailed defect descriptions and test context.
- Issue the REX (Returns on Experience) on ITC activities and propose improvements to processes, tools, and the T&C Reference Library.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Embedded Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in roles related to Installation, Testing, and Commissioning Engineering.
