ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER

S.E.T. is looking for a highly motivated mid-to-entry level engineer join our growing firm in our Phoenix, Arizona office. This position will primarily support senior level engineers and project managers on the planning, design and implementation of site remediation and facilities engineering environmental projects.

Projects will include the development of construction drawings, technical specifications and contract documents for site-civil, geotechnical and waste management projects involving earthwork, storm water management, utilities, soil and sediment remediation technologies, waste management and land disposal facilities, and construction oversight.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field investigations, construction oversight and quality assurance activities,
• Work as part of an engineering design team to create construction drawings, technical specifications and contract documents,
• Evaluate field data, perform calculations, required modelling, and prepare engineering reports,
• Provide field exploration support as needed for design parameter development, and during construction for oversight and Construction Quality Assurance purposes

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental, civil, chemical, mining or other engineering disciplines with environmental experience,
• Master’s Degree a plus,
• 0 to 5 years experience in working in a consulting engineering capacity,
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D,
• Preferably an EIT or recent PE candidate,
• Must be detail oriented and efficient in problem solving,
• Strong oral and written communication skills is a must.
